The Modnar Quintet are an extremely versatile group playing a wide range of material and arrangements of straight ahead Jazz, Funk, Fusion and RnB.

Modnar are the perfect addition to any event you may be planning. They can cater for anything from wedding ceremonies, parties, dinners and bars to upbeat club gigs. The Quintet can be booked on their own or along with a function band at a small extra cost and can be used to play over a dinner or drinks reception before the full band play during an event.

Phil Jones, Paul Egan, Chris Wintermeyer, Joe Mayer Thomas and Ed Mitchell are some of the UK’s most talented musicians working within the current UK music scene. The group met whilst working within the prestigious ‘Brighton & Hove Big Band’ with whom they toured to the ‘Montreux Jazz Festival’ and Germany, along many other events.

The Modnar Quintet have a residency at ‘The Station’ in Hove, Brighton, and play there every first Saturday of the month.
